While for years, Celestron, Questar and others had been available, their price put them out of the range of most amateurs; they often targeted institutions, while the rest of us dreamed. But
as the 60's came to an end, the choices offered to the amateur began to change. Accompanying the beloved Unitron refractor, which had been around for years, were new 2.4" imports and basic reflectors like the Criterion RV-6 being offered at somewhat more reasonable prices.
